Is CryptoRoute non-custodial?
Yes. CryptoRoute never holds your funds or private keys; swaps move wallet-to-wallet through a per-swap deposit address generated by the execution provider (NEAR Intents / 1Click). Funds are never pooled in or controlled by a CryptoRoute account.
Do I need an account or KYC to swap?
No. Standard swaps require no account, no sign-up and no identity KYC. Screening is risk-based at the address and jurisdiction level, and an optional free account only stores your swap history.
How do cross-chain swaps work on CryptoRoute?
You pick a route, get a live quote, and send the quoted amount to a one-time deposit address. NEAR Intents (1Click) settles the swap on-chain — independent solvers fill the order — and the destination asset arrives at the wallet address you provided.
What does a swap cost?
One all-in service fee, shown in the quote before you send anything — typically 0.30–1.20% depending on the route. Network fees are included in the quoted output, and there are no deposit, withdrawal or account fees.
What happens if my swap fails?
Funds are returned to the refund address on the origin network that you supplied when creating the swap. Refunds never go to new addresses, other networks or third parties. Swaps started without an account also need the one-time claim secret issued at swap creation.
